25 things to make you smile this christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

to you & yours

Well, Christmas Eve is here! Officially my favourite day of the year. We’re staying home and staying cozy and I am just hopeful that we may actually get a White Christmas this year (omfg)

I wanted to share some feel good Christmas (or just straight up happy) things for you to enjoy today and during Christmas and the break! I hope these make you smile! :)

  1. Missing your pals? Me too. I carved out an hour in my day to send a bunch of friends and family Merry Christmas voice memos! I have loved doing voice memos since Covid started.

  2. Happiness expert Meik Wiking shares ways to find joy during the dreary winter

  3. Well, I didn’t quite get around to recording a Christmas podcast episode this year (or last!) lol but you can still listen to my OG Christmas episode of Confetti Culture

  4. When Lebron asks you to think all of the happy thoughts into the world, you gotta do it

  5. Manifest that shit! Start thinking of some of the things you hope to do in 2021, no matter how small. I love doing this kind of stuff and hope this will help make the transition to 2021 smoother.

  6. Here are 99 affirmations to start your morning off on the right foot!

  7. Taylor Swift made this family cry, and I think I may have just made you cry after watching this heartwarming video

  8. Do you need 7 + hours of Christmas music to listen to today and tomorrow? Good news! Here’s my very very Christmassy Spotify playlist for y’all

  9. ‘Tis the season to reconnect with old friends. During your time off, reach out to an old friend and let them know you’re thinking of them!

  10. Swell Made Co shares 6 tips to deal with Covid fatigue

  11. Where are my Beatles fans!? You’re going to want to stop what you’re doing and watch the preview for the new Peter Jackson Beatles doc

  12. Looking for some new, awesome board games to play? Check out these 15 joyful games to beat boredom

  13. Bells will be ringinggggg! around the world tonight at 6pm! Get some jingle bells or pots and pans and make some noise for all the people who have kept us safe this year

  14. Some good news! We all need it! Check out John Krasinski’s holiday edition of SGN!

  15. Make room for all your Christmas goodies! We all get so spoiled every year, and this is a good time to do a nice big purge and also make room for the new items you may have received. As much as I love Christmas, I also love a fresh start so a little decor refresh!

  16. You can play the best boardgame of all time online this season, this is my extended fams all-time fave and we play it multiple times a year, we will keep the tradition this year and play virtual scattegories!

  17. Do me a favour today, turn on the song “Spirit of Christmas” by Ray Charles - turn off the tv, put your phone down and sit with a delicious hot festive beverage and just think of all your favourite Christmas memories with those you love most

  18. Get ready to LOL while watching this SNL digital short called Christmas Morning … and I got a robe!!

  19. Get fancy! I’m not gonna lie, I actually kinda miss dressing up! I love wearing all my festive dresses and getting all dolled up for Christmas parties. But, this covid Christmas isn’t going to stop me! I plan on getting my glitter on today and/or tomorrow!

  20. Give back if you can! There are lots of charities that are accepting online donations and anything helps! I’ve made a donation to SickKids as part of Otie’s Christmas gift. He’s got so many goodies already and we’re all so lucky.

  21. Have a good cry while watching the 2020 year in search. We got through this together

  22. Family Stone is one of my all-time favourite Christmas movies, read about how it captures the experience of holidays with the family!

  23. Treat yourself. Get yourself a little something to celebrate the fact that 2020 is almost behind us, if that isn’t a reason to celebrate then what is!

  24. Do nothing & be totally okay with it. I know we’ll all have a busy few days even without all of the usual festivities around Christmas, but as of December 26th let’s all stay in our jammies and literally do nothing. Drink hot chocolate, eat shortbread, have mid-day naps. Enjoy every quiet moment if you can!

  25. Enjoy Christmas the best you can. I know it’s not easy. I am so disappointed that we can’t see everyone we normally get to and truly celebrate the season the way we have been lucky enough to in the past. It’s okay to feel a little bummed out about this, but remember that you’re doing the right now by staying home and staying safe!

Merry Christmas to all!
